Cell phone coverage – how can you know if a carrier has good coverage in an area?

It’s not an end-all solution, but it’s a start – a community based signal strength map. I’m not sure how well this will fare over time – I don’t see time stamp showing the age of an entry. Check it out: http://www.signalmap.com/

There will need to be a mechanism to account for provider’s changes/updates, if/when they occur.

I LOVED the note at the top of the screen (“Beta is an understatement”).
