If you read the comments as well as the article, there are two issues – one is “wetting” the LCD screen with any product (concensus is to moisten the wipe by spraying onto it, then wipe the screen). Second issue is the use of alcohol – or any other product – that may remove or soften or otherwise affect any coatings that are on the screen. And probably like most users, I don’t really know what is safe to use. So I like the “soft cloth”. I would probably trust specific products from electronics suppliers as noted.
