The RTBA is a proposed act requiring new acts to be posted on the Internet 7 days before a vote. It would also require the bill to be read in its entirety before a vote in Congress. It would slow down the process, and I don’t necessarily agree with the inability to bypass this process under extreme situations (war for example?) The question that comes to mind is after a disclosure, since mainly lobbyists running the show, will it really make a difference, other THAN slowing things down? It does seem wrong that we have laws being voted in where they don’t know everything being added. More simpler acts with less provisions and more votes perhaps? what do you think?
